This article is for suppliers and provides a step-by-step guide on how to apply for a card acquiring agreement with Adyen to accept credit card payments.
Preparation
Start by logging into the GoPay Manager. GoPay Manager is the back-office portal where you, as a supplier, can manage and view sales across your stores (canteens).
To accept credit card payments, you need a card acquiring agreement with Adyen (https://adyen.com). Adyen is our payment gateway and serves as an acquiring bank authorized to handle credit card payments.
To apply for a card acquiring agreement, you need to complete a form with the following information:
- Company details
- Decision-maker of the company
- Payout bank account details
- Sign the agreement
IMPORTANT ABOUT PREPARATION:
The person signing the Adyen agreement must have one of the following roles:
- Signatory: Authorized to sign contracts on behalf of the company.
- Authorized Person: Authorized to make significant business decisions.
- Owner: A person who owns 25% or more of the company (directly or indirectly).
Payout Bank Account Information
During the application process, you must provide the bank account details where you want the POS sales to be paid out. Adyen must verify that you "own" the provided bank account. This is done by uploading documentation, such as a screenshot of: 1) a bank statement, 2) online banking environment, 3) a deposit image, or 4) an official email/letter from the bank.

Adyen must ensure that everyone using their service is who they claim to be. To do this, they verify all this information against official records. This is part of the financial regulations Adyen must follow as a payment provider.
Follow the steps below to begin your application.
Step 1: Start the Application
Begin the application process by logging into GoPay Manager.
- Switch to the Admin module. A guide for switching environments can be found here.
- Navigate to Settings > Payment acquiring from the main menu.
- Click the Start Application with Adyen button to proceed.
Step 2: Complete the Form on Adyen's Website
After clicking the Start Application with Adyen button, you will be redirected to Adyen's website.
Complete the application form and ensure that all information is accurate to avoid delays in the approval process.
Step 3: Wait for Approval
Once the application form is submitted, the approval process will begin. If your information is filled out correctly, approval should take only a few minutes.
- Your application will be reviewed by Adyen's team.
- You may be contacted for additional information or clarification.
- Upon approval, you will receive a notification, and further instructions will be provided on how to get started.
