When using Gopay together with MobilePay on your Android or iPhone, sometimes technical issues can arise, and it can be a bit of a challenge to get everything to work together perfectly. You may have already encountered a "Client mismatch" error.
This error means that there is something wrong with the way the two apps communicate, which can prevent you from returning to the Gopay app after making a payment in MobilePay.
Once the transaction is completed in MobilePay, the user can manually return to the Gopay app to find their receipt. This can be done by navigating to either 'Today' or 'Me - Orders' to access the transaction details.
We have put together a guide that will help you step by step to ensure that your apps work together as they should.
For Android users
How to enable in-app links:
- Open Settings on your Android device.
- Scroll and tap on Apps or App Settings.
- Look for Advanced settings or Default apps (this may vary depending on your phone).
- Select Open links to find a list of apps that can open links.
- Ensure that both Gopay and MobilePay can open links automatically.
Check your app defaults:
- In Default apps, see if Gopay or MobilePay is set as the default for certain links. If yes, try removing it and see if it helps.
Clear cache and data:
If you are still experiencing issues, try clearing the cache and data for both apps. You can do this in Apps under Settings, where you will find Gopay and MobilePay under Storage.
For iPhone users
Check Universal Links:
iOS uses Universal Links to open links directly in apps. Make sure that both apps are installed correctly and set to open links.
Restart your iPhone:
A simple restart can often fix errors.
Update apps and iOS:
Make sure you have the latest versions of both Gopay, MobilePay, and your iOS.
General Tips
- Reinstall apps: If nothing works, try uninstalling and reinstalling both apps.
- Contact support: If the problems persist, contact support at Gopay or MobilePay.
Remember, these steps may vary depending on your device and operating system version. It's always a good idea to keep your apps and device system updated.
