Standadlone Credit Card terminal (Adyen V400m) Setup and Troubleshooting

Getting Started

Follow these steps to set up your new Adyen V400m payment terminal:

  • Insert Receipt Paper:
    • Open the paper compartment by pulling up the latch.
    • Insert the paper roll with the paper sticking out slightly.
    • Close the cover.
  • Turn On the Terminal:
    • Connect the terminal to a power source.
    • Charge the battery for at least four hours.
  • Connect to Your Network:
    • Select Configure network on the terminal.
    • Choose Wi-Fi and enter the Wi-Fi password.
    • The terminal will automatically connect to the network.
  • Test Connections:
    • Test the connection with the Adyen platform.
    • If using a POS system, test the connection with your POS.

Once these steps are complete, your terminal is ready to process payments!

 

Insert Receipt Paper

  • Pull up the latch to open the paper compartment.
  • Insert the receipt paper roll.
  • Close the cover.

Connect to Your Network

Connect to Wi-Fi

  • On the terminal, select Configure network.
  • Choose Wi-Fi and turn on the Wi-Fi toggle switch.
  • Select the desired network and enter the password.
  • Confirm the connection.

Cellular Failover

Your V400m terminal can switch to a cellular connection if Wi-Fi fails. The terminal comes with a pre-installed SIM card for immediate use.

Test Connections

Test the Adyen Platform Connection

  • Select Settings Diagnostics PSP connection.
  • Ensure the status is Successful.

Test the POS System Connection

  • Select Settings Diagnostics Terminal API.
  • Ensure the status is Successful.

Restarting the Terminal

Adyen V400m (Wired)

  • Unplug the terminal from the power source.
  • Wait 10 seconds.
  • Plug it back in.

Adyen V400m (Wireless)

  • Press and hold (9) and the GREEN button simultaneously.
  • Enter the admin pin (found in Adyen Backoffice).
  • Select Restart/Power Off (6).

Connecting to Ethernet (Wired)

  • Ensure an Ethernet cable is connected to the ETH port on the dongle.
  • Ensure the other end is connected to the network source.

Connecting to Wi-Fi (Wireless)

  • Press and hold (9) and the GREEN button.
  • Enter the admin pin (contact support@facilitynet.dk for pin).
  • Select Network Wi-Fi.
  • Scan for networks, select the network, and enter the password.
  • Confirm the connection.

Update Software

  • Press and hold (9) and the GREEN button.
  • Enter the admin pin (contact support@facilitynet.dk for pin).
  • Select Software GREEN to Update software.
